Connectivity and Firewall Configuration

Still have questions? MP3 Rocket PRO customers can login and get support via email.

Reasons for Connectivity Issues:

There are 4 primary reasons why you may not be able to connect to the network to download files:

  • Your ISP (Internet Service Provider) may be blocking the traffic,
  • The network your computer is connected to may be blocking the traffic
(e.g. Military network, school, corporate, Internet café, etc.),
  • The MP3 Rocket, or Java installation may be corrupt, or
  • Your Windows (or other) firewall may be blocking the connection.

If #1 or #2 is the case, there is nothing that can be done to resolve the issue, other than contacting your ISP or network administrator to request that they allow access to the Gnutella network (TCP port 6346).
